Lachlan Coote

Recommended Posts

Lead story on our local Look North about Lachlan Coote and his decision to retire. Speaks about how he was starting to forget things and after a scan, they found a bleed on his brain. Very emotional when he sat in front of the specialist, with his wife, and he was told, that's it, you have to finish. He's done the right. He comes across as such great bloke but as he said, he has to think of his and his families future.

May he make as full of a recovery as is possible.

A player who was a delight to watch no matter what team colours he adorned.

Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

A bleed on the brain is desperately bad news for him and his future.

Let's stop talking about concussions and call them for what they are - brain injuries.

Also maybe time for fans to have a think before constantly claiming certain players are feigning injury. Something which Coote often had thrown at him.
