Seems silly that if money is available why it has not been put to good use to ensure you are not relegated this term.

Because the bloke only approached the club halfway through season and for various reasons it has been slow to complete. Even now it has not happened yet. However the guy has already spent quite a bit considering he doesn't own the club yet. Further to that ,you also need to find players in such a short time frame.

It's related to a planning gain, much like Trinity's. Axiom get planning for what they want, they give Cas the money, combined with £2m from the council, the funding should be ring fenced regardless of their status.

Not sure it's as simple - I'm pretty sure Axiom will want to have tenants signed up before they release the money otherwise they could easily end up with just some very expensive empty buildings. There will of course almost certainly be an agreement that prevents them from opening the industrial park for business until the money is handed over (and probably contracts in place for the redevelopment of WR much the same as was the case for BV). Axiom didn't expect to reach that point till the end of 2024 assuming all was plain sailing....

Is that an attempt at wind up ? Wakey now have far superior facilities to Fev, Far bigger club all round and if all goes smooth one of the richest backers in SL soon to takeover. IF Wakey do drop down they will soon get back up.

Far bigger ? I should hope so with one being in a city with poor crowds and one a town with poor crowds. Lovely new stand by looks of it and the stand behind the sticks looks well. Rest is a dump and is not as good as Fevs ground. Where can you have a fan zone ?

Genuine question as I've not seen an answer anywhere, but after the first phase is complete will BV meet all 9 of the IMG Stadium Criteria?

Not sure what plan’s for south corporate block as more corporate facilities will be in new stand but I think at the moment they’re keeping it. Agree about Western terrace but needed to sort east and North stand first. Heard new owner is wanting to improve rear of North Stand Upper. Fan zone can be behind east stand or plenty of room at the south end of ground.  Don’t forget the new LED floodlights, LED big screen and new state of the art full size flat playing service.

Always admired your floodlight's look stunning, yeah that's good big screen. When  time i first went to BV it was a cracking ground with the stand where Benidorm flats are and the one on the western terrace which was very similar to the one at Doncaster racecourse. Don't know if theirs is still there.

A fan zone is planned behind the new stand.

By the way you forgot to compare respective playing surfaces. One is a maximum size flat surface and the other is....well you know

Well let's hope these  super new changes are being used in SL.

Good times, new owner pumping millions in good times ahead.

Genuinely glad they have finally got it over the line. SL needs a shake up and if this creates another team capable of doing that then its great news and hopefully can help improve a really stale product.

Has Last been successful in any previous roles he's held?

I thought he did alright with Hull FC in 2020. Improved them in the latter half of the season and they made a play off semi final.
