Remember his blonde locks playing for Saints at the Boulevard, then moving on to Salford, he now joins son Steve in an ever expanding fantastic Heavenly RL team.

At Widnes, I remember the cries of 'Eric, show us ya teeth', and him grinning.

RIP to a great player.

I remember him well.

What a fine player he was.

Starred on the wing in Saints' 1970 Championship Final defeat of Leeds and then went on to become one of the best and most consistent forwards in the game for over a decade. Says everything about the strength of the game then that he was unable to earn international honours because he was central to trophy winning teams at Salford and Widnes. RIP.
