I don't know! There was some pretty vindictive and unfounded stuff posted on this forum. But he never rose to it. But you are right , there were never any protests or vitriol shouted at him in person though. Not that I know of.

There is a time and place for complaining but Chris was out of his depth at Oldham imagine what he is like at Widnes!

The one thing I take my hat off to Chris is that he put his hand up to run/own the club when no-one else wanted to. 

Yes he did things in my opinion badly. He did nearly get the club in super league with Fordy. 

I look at it this way, if no Chris no Fordy run club. 

Finally if someone was shouting in my face I know that I would have trouble keeping calm and walking away.

Agreed. If Chris didn't step in there'd be no club. It just all went a little sour in the end,a little megalomania I think.Hopefully Mick,Bill and Co can put the club in a higher echelon.
