Our first of three trips to the dark side this season. We broke our Yorkshire hoodoo last season. Lets hope we come back with the spoils from Dewsbury.

Our excellent 18 - 32 victory today augurs well for our season.  Hopefully we shall meet t’other side of Royton somewhere!

Very composed and stuck to the task well today, well worth the 2 points

I thought Dews looked a big side when the teams lined up at kick-off and the first 30 mins or so saw both teams trading sets until Dews plucked a cross field kick to dot down. From there I thought Hornets stepped up and looked the likely winners from then onwards, couple of silly mistakes kept Dews close but we deserved it in the end.

Jayden Dayes was my MOM but good performance from Elsey also who always looked dangerous. The pack as a whole did well muscling up in defence and keeping Dews on the back foot with ball in hand.

Mission accomplished!

Next three at home, no away games in May. First two are Saturdays. Chance to test ourselves against high flying Hurricanes.

That one clashes with Mayfield home game.

I was a bit under the weather yesterday so I turned down a chance of going over to Dewsbury. I’m kicking myself now.

The result must have bucked you up a bit 😀.

A well deserved victory. Your team looked fitter, quicker and more aware of how to play RL than mine did. A bit of pace and good coaching makes all the difference.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Any considerations for the two games to be played at the Crown?  Great weather and a top crowd.
