Let us remember that Les Catalans played at Knowsley Road, in front of a crowd that was 99% St Helens fans.
And before the St Helens fans start rushing out whinging excuses by running through their injury list, let me inform readers that Catalans played without the following first choice players who were injured:
Backs: Dimitri Pelo, Chris Walker, Jean Philippe Baile, Setamaita Sa, Freddie Vaccari
Forwards: Olivier Elima, David Ferriol, Sebastien Martins, Kane Bentley
Nine top players out injured! It was so bad that lifelong forward Dane Carlaw was forced to play centre!
And before the St Helens fans start rushing out whinging excuses by running through their injury list, let me inform readers that Catalans played without the following first choice players who were injured:
