Here's to playing you another 2/3 times again this year.
I ask the other week who is the best time you have played....
100% Saints are the best Wires have played..........their defense for mine brillant, we all know how good Saints attack.
Can Wires win anything this year........not sure now.
RL what a game..

Solomona is more of a hindrance in big games unfortunately. If someone else would have gone to dummy half, Wire would have won.
Westwood and Morley were obviously brilliant whereas Roby and Graham for Saints were outstanding, too. Great footwork and options.

The halves were off unfortunately. We took it to them in the forwards and they laid the platform superbly, was disappointed with Briers and Myler (and King), although it is very rare that I hav said that this year.

In terms of the overall territory etc. I thought we were better, but you get ###### all for that, and it's all about putting the ball over the line.
Hopefully that game made a few realise how good Westwood is, and he should get no stick for the loss whatsoever...
I didn't quite see those easy yards from Warringtons forwards Dave and, if the coaches instructions were to play in the manner of constantly attacking the short right hand blindside then he is the one who needs a telling off.
Warrington played the dumbest game I have yet seen from ( and thats saying something) them. The constant use of the blindside attack was fodder that Saints gobbled up with ease and for the life of me I could not understand the tactic. When they did play in an expansive way they split Saints, but again not enough.
Atkins was one that I liked at Wakefield, I was wrong! He is I would say the poorest centre in S/L presently and I do not believe that he has yet registered with the fact that a winger plays outside of him.
One final item, the theme that Myler can direct a side is misguided, the lad is a very good support player and an opportunist with some aplomb, but as a organiser for his team he is way down the list and if he ever does attain such expertise it will surprise me.
Warrington are poor in dire situations and in my opinion the coach did not seem to have an option B in his repertoire either.
Against Leeds some weeks ago an almost indentikit reproduction of the muddle they got into in a hotly contested game was again evident last night and they simply did not deserve to win that match last night, not at all.

Pretty much every one of our sets finished well in Saints territory, the forwards were making yards for fun, and getting quick ptb's all night. It was very rare that we were kicking from deep or trapped in our own half, very rare.
In terms of tactics, I would disagree. Tactics weren't the issue last night, it was execution. We dropped the ball with the line begging a couple of times, and we threw the ball into touch a couple of times when in great attacking positions, which is just stuff that we don't normally do. I would argue that if the tactics were wrong we wouldn't have been in such good field position for much of the game, nor been in the position for those many many chances that we blew.
You say the coach didn't have an option B, but then why did he need it, in attack it was going okay. Again, we were creating chances right up until the end of the game, and lets be honest, we only lost because we gifted them a silly try to clinch it, and missed a basic kick.
The tactics were fine, and created us more than enough field position to do it, had we not started throwing the ball to the linesman, or their player!
The soft defence at times is a little bit harder to excuse.
Your Ryan Atkins attack is as OTT as the rest of your post IMHO. I'm not his biggest fan, but he has 11 tries and 11 assists, so he is going okay for someone who is the worst centre in SL, and considering we were told he couldn't pass, his asssists seem to disprove that.

We simply went for the more blatant approach last night and threw the ball to them for them to score!

Have you seen how many tries our wingers have scored?
They weren't all from kicks by Briers, you know..
We didn't need a Plan B, plan A was working, we lost by just 2 points, and gifted a try which under different Video replay rules would have been void.
We executed a lot of wide plays very badly, and those balls into touch cost us.

James Roby is a star & has been all year. James Graham needs a talking to for the way he screamed at the ref. I love his passion for the game but there are ways to conduct yourself.
Jamie Foster is gonna be a great player & am loving how the young guys are standing up to be counted this season. At the start of the season I thought we would struggle, maybe finish 6th but to be joint 2nd & still in the cup is fab & its the kids that have helped us to do that.
No sign of Wendy I see
Roll on our next meet with hopefully a full team out. Its astonishing when you think we are still without Kyle.

I think with Wire its a mental thing, it must be how many times have they matched Saints over the 80 minutes but come up short?
Oh and saw a bit of bother in the West Stand at the game. It seemed like a few Wire fans were mixed in with the Saints and a few punches and pints of beer were thrown. At one point when Wire scored some bald scouser was trying to run on to the field with his pint!!!!

I was in the west stand. There was some beer spilled after tries were scored as fans with beer in hand celebrated. There was not one single punch thrown to my knowledge. Why oh why do you do this?

Hopefully that game made a few realise how good Westwood is, and he should get no stick for the loss whatsoever...
if you look at when we started dominating and scoring it was when wood and morley were on together, carvell just seems a bit off the pace at the minute. harrison wasn't his usual self either.
i've never seen a team start the ridiculously slow play-the-balls a good 5-6 minutes before full time.
agree totally on the backs, poor passes, poor non-passes.

Plus, all of our tries were scored by our forwards.
Considering our 4 three-quarters who played have so far scored 68 tries between them this year, that shows exactly where the issue was.
