#2955579 Celebrate Wakefield!

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 06 July 2014 - 05:09 PM

I know I'm probably going to get stick for this but while beating Wigan was an amazing result and beating Leeds was a good result is it really a cause to "Celebrate Wakefield?"

By all means be pleased but is this thread not a little over the top?

Your right lets just celebrate castlefords season, if I rememeber rightly I started a thread a few months ago saying how well they were doing and a example to all the smaller clubs? I dont see anything wrong with making a positive thread about any teams form, instead of trying to be negative all the time!!! This sport has too many glass half empty rather than glass half full, people in it!

Tipped by most people to finish in the bottom two at the start of the season, we've beaten Wigan and Leeds and might finish in the top 8! Last september we didnt have 17 players signed for 2014. Playing much better since James Webster took over from Richard Agar. never underestimate the wildcats :)

Leaving Leeds at the end of the season, where will he end up? Salford?  :bye:

if you were a hull fan you could say it was all Richard agars fault....and you could be right for a change... :-)

#2921494 BBC coverage

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 26 April 2014 - 04:12 PM

I do think mark Chapman is a brilliant rugby league presenter, liked Brian noble, eorl Crabtree, Tanya Arnold and Robbie hunter Paul. Why they persist with 'its simple' Jonathan Davies I don't know!!! If they got rid of him and had skys slicker and better edited coverage they would be out of this world! 7 out of 10...

#2914593 10/04/14 - Hull FC v Huddersfield Giants KO 8pm (Sky Sports)

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 10 April 2014 - 07:43 PM

What the hell is up with Huddersfield? Great try by Houghton!

They played saints four days ago?? One team has 7 days rest and the other 4 days, make Thursday night rugby ridiculous at times...

5 games in and who can stop them?? You have to say very well done to the club at Wheldon Road, I bet they wish they had got rid of Rangi Chase years ago! Also Daryl Powell, he should have been a SL coach years ago after his short spell at Leeds. Can they keep it up? Good luck to them I say :)

#2894108 Excellent Tribute, Well Done Sky. Steve Prescott

I'm still emotional now, lovely brave man who didn't deserve to die so young.

#2873453 Bradford Bulls - not sounding good

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 01 February 2014 - 09:15 PM

I have nothing against Bradford and their fans but when the rfl tell Wakefield one thing and we have to sell or release many players to make ends meet to avoid admin and relegation, to then be told Bradford entered administration to avoid paying creditors in FULL, annouce they are KEEPING all their players they couldn't afford and the rfl are happy for them to continue in super league is WRONG!!! And there is a lot of disgruntled rl fans out there, I can't believe mr wood can sleep at night. I know mr carter struggles. Thank you rfl you have been amazing..

#2872781 Bradford Bulls - not sounding good

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 31 January 2014 - 02:45 PM

The precedent has already been set though, Bradford have already been treated more harshly than golden boys like Wakefield. So they will probably get 16 points deducted.
It's definitely bent alright.

i don't remember the rfl buying our iconic ground??? As others have stated Wakefield were told last year if we went into administration again we would be demoted in championship one. Bradford have gone into administration again yet are free to start super league?? If that's not one rule for one and one rule for another I don't know what is!!!!

#2861865 ITV Splash

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 09 January 2014 - 08:07 PM

Just been advertised on ITV, Rugby League star Martin Offiah on saturdays splash programme. Nice to hear the distinction that he was/is a league star rather than a 'rugby' personality... :D

#2855351 Celebrity sex allegations thread (Yewtree etc)

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 21 December 2013 - 09:12 PM

Innocent until proven guilty, nowt more to say.

I always thought the law was people werent named until they were proven guilty of a crime, more and more recently people are being named and shamed then found not guilty. I think they shouldnt be named and the court process quickened up so that the course of justice is done and if the person is found guilty THEN they will be hung out to dry BUT hardly mentioned if found not guilty...

#2832141 RLWC on BBC Points of View

Posted by weloveyouwakefield2 on 11 November 2013 - 05:41 AM

The BBC hasnt got an unlimited budget on these things!!! a) How did it cost premier sports to have coverage of every game?? cant have been that much!! and B) how much more would it have cost them to show scotland and Ireland games and more than one quarter final/semi final?

OR maybe they just couldnt be bothered??
