You could watch a lot of games before you see a better try than that one.

Your team look very much like a Super League side in waiting.

thanks Ullman

Before the match I was thinking that I'd be supporting Leigh as the plucky underdogs if it was against any other SL but Wire. Now I'm thinking that was a bit patronising on Leigh. My mindset now is how will Wire cope with another local derby next year when Leigh will surely be making their mark in SL.

Felt jealous of Leigh's kicking game at times- Kay's outside of his boot kick to McNally was right out of the 'Lee Briers' Guide to Unlocking a Defence'. ....and for Brierley to show a clean pair of heels to Ratch and Ormsby he should be training to take on Usain in Rio next year. Balance restored somewhat by Penny's flying display.

Great match and superb atmosphere- just sobering up now!

Best wishes for a quick and clean recovery to James Laithwaite.

Nice words thank you - My favourite play was the controlled Kay kick at speed

I've just re-watched it. What an absolutely awesome effort. This team is up there with the greatest ever Leigh teams, and the coach & his team, also. Proud to be a Leyther gets perhaps overused, so it loses a little of it's meaning, but those who know, who watch, who've lived there, who were born there, who've adopted Leigh because of the sublime rugby league football they produce...they know what it means, they know how I feel.

Hard in terms of what? It's only 8 miles!

Great gesture though, well done to them.

I did it when we walked the same journey on Boxing Day 2007 for Knotty. Now that was hard...all them pubs to call in and some right nutters for company. One of the best days, and the sun was shining more than today. My little toe on my left foot has never fully recovered, in case you were wondering  ;)
