#3148726 27 Jun: CCQF - Warrington Wolves v Leigh Centurions KO 3pm (TV)

You could watch a lot of games before you see a better try than that one.

Your team look very much like a Super League side in waiting.

thanks Ullman

I've just re-watched it. What an absolutely awesome effort. This team is up there with the greatest ever Leigh teams, and the coach & his team, also. Proud to be a Leyther gets perhaps overused, so it loses a little of it's meaning, but those who know, who watch, who've lived there, who were born there, who've adopted Leigh because of the sublime rugby league football they produce...they know what it means, they know how I feel.

#3125971 Higham re-joins Leigh (merged threads)

So pleased to have Mickey , and so heart warming reading all the complimentary messages on here and elsewhere from fans and players. He is held in high regard by many, and deservedly so. He will bring a wealth of rugby nouse, as well as being a fantastic player and the mature influence on the younger players and hopefully some others ;) will be very welcome IMO. You can have the craic and be one of the laaaaaaaads AND be a hard tough opponent without, for example, giving pens. He is a master of his craft. Welcome home Mickey

...and a welcome rest for Bob Beswick, who has been one of our best players, and continues to be so, but asking him to do 80 mins all the time is something he would do, but we don't want to be constantly worried that he may get injured.

#3117033 Danny Jones

Posted by amh on 04 May 2015 - 07:02 PM

Further to earlier posts about the two fund raising sites, I contacted the young man who had started the Danny Jones Fund and got him in touch with RL Cares and the funds were merged. He is just a young rugby fan and very humble in his manner. He asked for my help in speaking to RL Cares as in his words, he wouldn't know how to, and he realised that more could be raised with less commission  and tax etc

I have passed on my thanks via twitter. This young man @briggsySRD90 set up @Dannyjonesfund & got the fund raising started, until the @RLCares got going. Thank you so much

This sort of thing is as annoying as the emails at work that tell everyone off instead of dealing directly with the person or couple of people who have made the error.

Confronting and managing people or situations must be really dangerous these days as I rarely come across anyone that can do it. So, instead, everyone gets penalised.

Oh, and by the way, we all work and find it hard getting time off for appointments etc, not just teachers. I'd appreciate if teachers would just say it's difficult with work to attend on the date / time offered, instead of starting the conversation with " I'm a teacher" as if I should clear the decks, cancel every other persons appointment booked in school holidays, and say name your slot, the rest of us will work around you.

Rant over ...for now
