A group of ten people did try to help they where prepared to put 10k each in but needed to see the accounts I'm sure you know the ending
If you were friends with our other director on FB, you would have been privy to a few corrections to all this hearsay that floats around on this board. Although a brief rant he said it all about ownership and previous owners.
There definitely was no mention of a consortium of 10 with 10 grand each. So I will choose not to believe you, unless you name them.
Therefore we are back to were we where, with no money and someone trying his heart out to make the club a success with little help.
Obviously by the historic date on this, it has probably already been averted, so why bring it up. We know the club is skint. It does not generate vast amounts of income and it does not matter who is in charge, it will probably never change.
I've said this before , the way in is to forget about going for a direct take over, not going to happen. And if you do who you going to put in charge? Superdude ??? Ha ha ha ha ha. The way in is to provide what is needed the most. .... Facilities! So is anyone brave enough to face the onslaught of abuse and poo pooing from the "not as long as as CH is breathing brigade" and form a 'ground trust'? Just like the fans trust but who's raison detre is to gather funds purely for the improvement of facilities. Start with 100 people putting in £100. Then run fund raising events etc. Then build the very first simple terracing. This encourages more attendance and more income. I know , disappointing to those who want to oust CH. But my idea is not aimed at you. I'm aiming at those who don't care who's in charge as long as we can improve facilities.
The initial problem with this idea would be the forming of a trust. I am not certain, but as there already is a supporters trust related to Rugby in Oldham, you would not get the support of supporters direct.
As has been stated on here before, he does not read the forum. So any offers of help on here are futile. I suppose the correct question to ask, would be. Is there any way I can help?
There is probably a massive list of answers to this question, the first being a few grand donation, would probably be the top of the list. A more serious answer would be to become an agent for the club lottery, for this you could contact John and don't have to make direct contact with Chris.
