Geoff Toovey has been appointed Bradford Bulls new coach.

By Matthew Shaw

Wow,this is certainly a bolt from the blue and shows that the new administration are very serious about getting the Bulls into a top club again. Toovey won`t be going over there for peanuts either,so let`s see how it all goes.

Todd Carney`s off to Salford,so it looks like Michael Dobson will be out on his backside again, poor bloke`s had more clubs that Jack Nicklaus!!

Todd Carney - that's a move to Salford assuming they can get a visa for him.

He did get access to the country via the French club and didn't get into trouble and he has a better behaviour record recently.

As for Bradford and Toovey, well the new owners will need deep pockets, a clever plan and probably some luck to maintain a full time squad in our league, given a decimated squad.

Good luck to Geoff. He'll need it.

It's said that he want to get away from Warriors to have more game time.

According to reports, Warriors will let him go if they can find a suitable replacement in time for the new season.

Canterbury fullback Will Hopoate will meet with his manager to decide if he’ll continue his Sunday sabbatical this season.

Hopoate’s manager Tyran Smith told The Sunday Telegraph he plans to have a discussion with the star Bulldog in the coming weeks.

Surely the whole point of this is the principled stance Hopoate has taken.

Do we take it that his manager wants to talk him out of this?

Kyle Lovett pleaded guilty to having cocaine stashed in his undies when police searched him outside a casino at 1:20 a.m.

There was white powder in his car footwells - driver and passenger side.

he had a wad of cash on him, which he said was his casino winnings.

He pleaded guilty expressed remorse and asked for another chance.

The judge didn't record a conviction. She gave him a six month good behaviour bond.

Lovett is contracted to Wests Tigers to the end of 2017.

He'll not be considered for the Auckland 9s tournament and more action may be taken against him.

Tigers' fans might have a view on whether the club wants him anyway?
