  1. We used to refer to him affectionately as charlie birdseed.
  2. Yes but thats a know match at a known location with a well established date and large attendence in advance. Different to holding dates of unknown matches at unknown locations on unknown dates. I am guessing nothing will be announced until after footy fixtures if they are to use footy stadiums. But its just a guess.
  3. If they are intending playing them at football grounds they might have to wait until June when the football fixtures come out to see which grounds would be available. My bet would be on Headingly and Warrington.
  4. And well done to ‘someone’ Else too
  5. Deplorable? I made the same mistake as you and apologised for it ( before you even made the mistake). And mind my pronouns
  6. Just noticed that Ex player and coach Charlie Birdsall passed away last month. Tough player who left it all on the field. Played at Wembley for Hull in the famous Hull derby final. Belated condolences to his family and friends.
  7. To be fair this has been coming from the Titans in recent weeks. They could (should?) have won their last two games also. Still plenty needing improving but they are now competing. Big test next week though.
  8. Give over…by that time he’ll be way too old. Maybe his great grandson.
  9. Two more blowouts today and one nailbiter. We are seeing fewer close games this season. Up to the end of round 7 this season there were 16 games finished with a margin of 6 points or less. That compares with 24 games at the same point last season.
  10. Incredible defensive effort by Titans in the last 15 minutes.
  11. British lions tour down under in 2025 has a final fixture list and tickets already sold/selling.
  12. I dont think british and other veterans are forgotten….its just that remembrance day is the day chosen for that purpose in UK. Having attended the dawn service at Gallipoli there is an official british military presence at the service every year There were more british deaths at Gallipoli (or the Dardanelles as it is referred to in UK) than Australia and NZ combined but that reflects the different number of participants from the respective countries.
