I remember back in our Superleague days, London would be decimated for months by injuries but they all became available the week before they played Widnes.

Crowd at Widnes looked decent, it was announced but tannoy issues in the North stand meant it was difficult to hear. Sounded like 3,400 and odd but might be wrong. Looked about 70 to 100 from Rochdale which is one of the better away followings this year. Adult tickets at £20 a pop so they didn't give it away.

Scotland, my luck in these sweepstakes has not changed.

I think that a competitive Widnes in Superleague wouldn't have too much to fear from the "lure" of Saints or Warrington. If Widnes could keep the best players in the town the big losers would be Saints. As for the development of Superleague leaving Widnes behind, the main difference between Widnes and many of its current incumbents is they don't have anybody pumping money in.
