I liked the shadows and the textures on this and the fact that the door knocker seemed to be trying to get the papewr outof the letter box.

Yes.

Saturation and contrast boost, some sharpening and in the door one some cloning to remove a manhole cover. Also whatever cropping and perspective straightening was needed.

I had a photo published in t'other RL paper this last week!

It wasn't very good, but I can now claim that I am a published photographer. Its made me grin a lot today.
