ckn
I've apparently got my calendar all mixed up as today's April 1st. It must be. It's obviously an April Fool joke that the new Apple Watch only lasts 18 hours at fully charged status and that's before a bit of normal use takes it down to half that. And if you live in an area with a ropey phone network connection then you're probably down to 6 hours at best. Is there anyone on this board deranged enough to actually want one with that battery life? gingerjon
Apple has become a supplier of luxury goods rather than developers of useful tech. Not my opinion but one I read last week in anticipation of today and I think it's a useful way of understanding what they're doing. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. (Terry Pratchett)
Tiny Tim
A watch with a 6 hour battery life, absolute genius. They'll be queuing around the block to get one. Forget the Omega for my 40th I must have an Apple watch......are they compatible with Android phones?
tim2
No problem, just stay near a power socket for most of your life and keep it on charge. "I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

shrek
I'd have one if it wasn't for the poor battery and disappointed to hear the functionality to measure blood pressure has been dropped which was muted as a feature early doors. Not right bothered about alot of the functionality, but in the past I've used a Nike Fuelband and found it a good way of getting my lardy behind out of the office chair more frequently than I did otherwise, so if this type of functionality along with the heart rate monitor and blood pressure had been in I'd have probably hand one. As it is I'll wait for V2 and see what that brings, or perhaps see what V2 of the pebble looks like.
Wolford6
I'm getting one of these, because the sun is always cracking the flags on this side of the Pennines. Under Scrutiny by the Right-On Thought Police

It's just the way your local builders install them! LOL Rethymno Rugby League Appreciation Society Founder (and, so far, only) member.
