Apparently, the BBC iPlayer couldn't handle the demand yesterday morning.

 

And, due to the Tube strike, a lot of Londoners got to enjoy that first session, who might not have done otherwise.

 

Yes, there was a fair bit of twitter traffic thanking the tube staff for being able to "work from home" watching the test match. :D

England currently with a 215 lead and Root has scored over twice the entire Australian's first innings single handedly and is still not out. :D

Starc seems to be bowling pretty well.  Five wicket haul.

Pretty much the only ray of light for Australia.

 

Now Broad's rubbing it by hitting boundaries! :D

The bowlers keep trying but all the luck they had yesterday has deserted them....

 

and finally they stay behind the line and the fielder catches it.

 

This morning was a bit too frantic IMO. Starc bowled well but they should have seen him off and attacked the other end. A lead of 400 would have definitely put the Ashes to bed.
