Griff9of13
Apparently, the BBC iPlayer couldn't handle the demand yesterday morning. And, due to the Tube strike, a lot of Londoners got to enjoy that first session, who might not have done otherwise. Yes, there was a fair bit of twitter traffic thanking the tube staff for being able to "work from home" watching the test match. Griff9of13
England currently with a 215 lead and Root has scored over twice the entire Australian's first innings single handedly and is still not out. Futtocks
The night watchman, Mark Wood, has already scored more runs than any of the Australians. gingerjon
Starc seems to be bowling pretty well. Five wicket haul. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Futtocks
Starc seems to be bowling pretty well. Five wicket haul. Pretty much the only ray of light for Australia. tim2
The bowlers keep trying but all the luck they had yesterday has deserted them.... and finally they stay behind the line and the fielder catches it. This morning was a bit too frantic IMO. Starc bowled well but they should have seen him off and attacked the other end. A lead of 400 would have definitely put the Ashes to bed. Crikey (as the Aussies would say), that escalated quickly! #BenStokes "I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"
