@Bbcrugbyleague is now live on twitter.

We fought had to kill bbcrugby (union only) and get rugby league back on the agenda. They said nobody wanted bbcrugbyleague and it was not worth the resources. They would only concentrate on the 'main' rugby. We had to put in lots of complaints and get parliament involved with Greg Mulholland writing to the trust.

So let's get those followers into the thousands people!

Good news! We asked for it and we got it, maybe it shows that fan power does still have some influence! The BBC's coverage of the Cup has been fantastic this year, it will be a real shame when they lose the rights to the Challenge Cup and Internationals in 2018, a real negative of the new TV deal.

Not too sure if this is official. So far I haven't seen acknowledgement from any other BBC account and the words "Rugby League" seem to have been added on in paint in the wrong font. Hopefully it's real as it'd be a useful tool. Also - wouldn't they have launched it before the CC semis this week?

Pretty sure neither are official, based on one of them linking to articles on superleague.co.uk and BBC links being to m.bbc.co.uk or bbc.co.uk rather than bbc.in that all the other BBC accounts use

I'm pretty sure BBC sport accounts don't run "RT if you think one thing, Favourite if you think another" tweets (might be wrong there) nor would they post a tweet saying "RT if you think there should be more RL on the BBC". One tweet posted something this morning about the cup semi final "last night", so even if it is official it's someone very ill informed doing it (probably par for the course actually)
