And then there was one!

Cross those fingers, the NRL is going it alone.

One of the only two major live sports shown live on US pay networks has cancelled its season until at least June.

The AFLs decision leaves the NRL as the only major sport still operating, relying never more on its players to do the right thing... In which case it is no doubt doomed ?

Domestic Air travel has been put on hold.

Unless all of the teams stay and play out of Sydney there is not much choice other than cancelling the season.

Announcement tomorrow.

Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

Just watching a discussion, and the NRL reckons that, as they use chartered flights and bus the clubs directly to the game without contact with wider society, they may be exempt.

Then again, there was also talk of relocating the entire competition to somewhere relatively isolated in Queensland.

Basically, nobody knows what will happen.

What is 'the right thing' that you say the NRL is relying on the players to do?

I think it's inevitable that if the NRL is to continue with the season that all the teams will have to be moved into one state.

Is the Australian football still going, football as in the English meaning of football

They will announce suspension tomorrow.

Have darts not taken advantage of the fact they play the board and not each other and could be miles apart... they could have two players in their own homes playing each other and live stream it... at least its a bit of entertainment.

Can't think of too many sports where this is possible.
