Trying to answer Vossy's question: In 1920 Frank Burge scored 8 tries for Glebe against Syd Uni and the team scored 11 tries so it is highly possible that he scored 4 consecutive tries. He also kicked 4 goals.

Shocking start to the game by Storm on particular. Their error rate was appalling

1916: Frank Burge scored 6 tries against Norths and the team scored 8 so possibly 4 in a row there.

2002: Nigel Vagana scored 5 against Souths and El Masri got one. I don't know the times of the tries.
