Fans of any other club:

He's obviously getting paid loads and is there for the money

Or

Fans of the club in question:

He's there for the challenge and not there for the money, we are actually paying him next to nothing

We can have any quota amounts in Championship. Bring it on..😂😂

If MacDonald scores a hat-trick, and one of you doesn't post a picture of Frankie Howerd with the caption "Nay, nay and thrice nay!", I'll be terribly disappointed in all of you.

Yes if Toulouse had of missed out on promotion they may not have been able to maintain the level of spending for another year in the Championship. Championship clubs overstretching themselves going for Super League or bust is the downside to the promotion and relegation model that we have.

And long may it continue.

Some good news for the other Championship clubs,Leigh have recruited Tony Clubb as assistant coach.

Why is that Dav?

There were very good reports com'in outa big Wiggin of the work he was doing with the 19's, he has to dip his toe in the water somewhere just like your new head coach has done or even O'Loughlin.

Langi for me carries the same characteristics. Above his weight but never uses it.

Not a fan of Langi

Seems to be handled well by most oppositions

Like what? Shane Eccles was and is the academy coach, following on from what Darrell Goulding had done before he became head of youth. All Clubb ever did was help Eccles so that he could get a little experience.

Wigan have always been very good at creating roles for those who can add something to the setup.

Yeah its not like Wigan haven't just signed Lee Briers and Shaun Wane and haven't got a large enough backroom staff as is it with many who have worked their way up, the likes of Tom Fitzpatrick and Matty Peet himself, or ex players like Sean O'Loughlin and Darrell Goulding.

I know Leigh fans may find it hard to believe that there was simply no role for Clubb at Wigan or inclination to create one but if Wigan saw the potential or value in Clubb they'd have certainly kept him on in some capacity. History shows that.

Perhaps he was just to pally with Adrian Lam for his face to fit, time will tell if Peet can hack it as the head coach and also if O'Loughlin can take his on field reputation to an off field position of expertise, Wigan are taking a gamble every bit as much as Leigh are.
