Only the town itself. The area an hour around of,Perpignan north west and south is stunningly beautiful, with a huge variety of things for people to do and see.

Does Carcassonne shut on a Sunday like Perpignan does?

Yes , the inside of the castle shops and restaurants will be open during summer

Perpignan is great in summer if you like beach bars/clubs

Hakim Miloudi leaves Albi but stays in Elite 1

WRITTEN BY NICOLAS · AUGUST 15, 2023

After a season in Albi, Hakim Miloudi signed up with Limoux for the championship that starts in a few weeks.

Hakim Miloudi has often sailed between France and England alternating between the different championships. We saw him in Super League, Championship, Elite 1 and even League 1. At 30, he remains on a season contrasted with the Tigers due in particular to injuries.

Last season, he played eight Elite 1 games for four tries scored. Hakim Miloudi has decided to join Limoux, where he will come to bring his experience to Maxime Greseque's three-quarter line.

Its going to be a great league this year cannot wait for it to start and intend to go to as many matches as possible + hopefully we will (This year) be able to start the You Tube broadcasts in both French and English from at least the Qtr Finals onwards just waiting to hear if we have secured the investment needed which is around 400K for a portable LED system and truck to move everything around.

Fingers crossed:)

Am in Biarritz this weekend and thinking of travelling over to St Gaudens for their match on Sunday. Thinking to stay over Saturday night. Anyone know if there is much to do in the town? And is there a high likelihood of the match being on?

Pre-match meal at noon.25 Euros.At the stadium.

13.00 hrs under 17's v Albi.

15.30 hrs.Saint Gaudens kick off their Elite 1 season.

Can't help with what there may be in the town on Sunday but the Jules Ribet stadium is part of a sports complex with a swimming pool.

Weather forecast suggests over 30 degrees.

Merci for that. Do you know if there is anywhere showing the NRL Grand Final?

If you made it to. Saint Gaudens you would have enjoyed watching the demi d'ouverture and demi de melee,no doubt.

I was amazed Corey Willis was playing in Elite 2 last season.

Joy to watch.

Oui, very much so. Not heard of Willis before but he had a great game and seems to have formed an understanding with Kuni Minga as he set up a couple of tries with his boot. Would love to see him at Dewsbury. Where has Willis played previously?

Also enjoyed watching Mitch Garbutt play - I thought he had just been coaching.

Great day all round in balmy St Gaudens. Bought a shirt and was welcomed by the club staff.

You got a club shirt?  I was told to wait a couple of months.

Well, how very rugby league is that?

Corey Willis was top points scorer in Elit 2 with Villefranche, last year.

I was shocked to see he didn't make the best side from the weekend.

2 other backs were named.

He went to that school in Australia that has the reputation for producing NRL and Super League players.

I can't get to Pia this weekend, but should make St Esteven in mid - October.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.The merchandise can wait...
