I don’t get this ooh ha about starting season earlier remember we used to be a winter sport one week won’t make a difference. I would start 10 weeks earlier if I thought it would sell out OT.

SL doesn't exist in a vacuum, the big dates have to fit into the wider international, domestic Rugby League and the wider sporting calendar. Changing that by just a week has a knock-on impact.

Serious question and I’ve no idea, do you think moving from winter rugby to summer rugby as had any effect to attended games? I’m just thinking that there is prob more things to do in summer than winter.

Yes OT is old and knackered. The seating is cramped and the in goals are less than ideal.

However, the atmosphere is brilliant and like others say, it's good to have a "permanent" home for the GF. Realistically, there isn't another stadium that can cope with the usual crowd size.

It's perfectly situated  for both public and private transport.  I parked in W2 car park, left on the hooter and was supping a bottle of Hazy Jane in Ponte's Wetherspoons 1hr 20 later.

Old Trafford is so dilapidated that the RFL are thinking of putting a bid in for it. Perfect for stock car racing aparently.
