NRL might fancy dipping their toes in the SL water. What does Greater London / SE offer, that M62 doesn't and the NRL are desperate to find ? Untapped potential player pool. Buy Broncos for a song from DH, put in place capable off field staff and most importantly a well structured player identification and development programme.

Thst eas the original idea when Barry Maranta and the Brisbane Broncos were involved prior to Branson.

It' s probably the best chance of a way forward with a cashed up NRL club buying the London club.

But this would mot be altruistic, there would be a two way flow hre of promiding Aussie youngsters getting experience of playing in the UK league hopefully at Super League level which would be better than the KOE or Queensland Cup. But equally it would see promising juniors going to Australia because an expanded NRL will need quality players from areas mot currently plundered by the existing clubs.

And of course the reaction on the M63 would be the same as from 1996- 1998 liking the idea of a London club but disliking the idea of an "aussie" club challenging the divine right of certain  clubs to dominate Super League ad infinitum.

It's just a really predictably stupid situation 

If we knew we weren't going to significantly strengthen we should have just let Tolouse take the spot ....we still should in my view
