Tara Jane Stanley missing from York Valkyrie side to face St Helens at Donny tomorrow , could be the game changer.

York still have so many top players but their spine has been decimated with Peach, Gale & Stanley missing. Saints have to be nailed-on favourites, but stranger things have happened…

Wigan v York would have been a very interesting semi final, but it’s hard to see Wigan beating Leeds on Sunday.

What are York thinking going for 2 at 12-0 down? Don't get that at all.

Showed a lack of confidence.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I got caught up in the Rabbitohs/Cowboys match, so missed a big chunk of this. Looks like St Helens haven't been overly troubled.

Cunningham is such a good player.

Probably born 5-10 years to early to truly get the rewards she deserves.

All the adversity considered, York gave it a fair crack. Georgie Hetherington especially impressive. Repeatedly squeezing through beyond the gain-line on kick returns. Carrie Roberts lucky to escape the bin for persistent high shots.

For Saints, Tara Jones days at 9 might be numbered. Needs to find another role.

BBC coverage is abysmal. Inopportune cutaways, inappropriate camera angles, inaccurate or irrelevant commentary babble. POM was one of the few things they got right.

Ref was good. Encouraging pattern developing this year with WSL officials. Not looking for phantom knock-ons and forward passes. Not calling upright tackles too early, so we get more late offloads. In general, giving players more scope to open up and play.

One down, one to go. Looking forward to an all-Lancashire final.:kolobok_girl_dance:

Don’t think there’s much chance of an all-Lancashire final! But it would have been very interesting if Wigan had been drawn against York.

Karl Marx predicted the collapse of capitalism. He didn't say when.

I'm hoping for two highly improbable Warriors victories -

Wahs v Panthers NRL and Wigan v Leeds WCC.

Tomorrow or ASAP.

Valks struggled to name a starting 17 as a sickness and vomiting bug took its toll , not an excuse , Saints were very good on the day.

Decent first half score, considering Leeds scored pretty much immediately and I feared the worst.

Not sure Wigan will be able to keep up the effort towards the end of the game.

Half-time 14-14

Leeds have been inventive with their kick-offs in previous games. Denis should have been on to it. Wigan have also messed up a Leeds goal-line drop-out. Without those three turnovers, Wigan would be ahead.

Rease Casey looks solid at dummy-half.

Not keen on the officials. This game deserved a more experienced ref.

I've thought that before, especially on a weekend without a full Super League fixture list, almost a little bit disrespectful.

But we’ve seen so far is great for the game. Wigan are clearly on the way to turning the big 3 into a big 4.

Yep, that's the big takeaway. Maybe next couple of years keep pushing with their recruitment until the younger ones have got more experience. Squad depth could be tested in the next few weeks. Let's hope their injured players aren't too bad.

Saints v Leeds final is probably better for women's RL this year.

BBC coverage much improved today. They should use Faye more. Real pity this wasn't on BBC 2.

Hope Grace Banks is ok. Her and Isabel Rowe are outstanding prospects.

Spoke to her mum after the game, and she said she thinks she’ll be ok

Wigan certainly had a few casualties today

Looking forward to Wembley

Couple of Leeds girls said they’re a little worried about MRP next week even though no on field penalties for the incidents

Hope they’re ok 👍
