#3271505 Batley vs featherstone

Posted by Phil Loxton on Today, 12:37 PM

I'm not being funny but this will be as big a challenge as any other to Fev. Batley have recruited well and Leigh can spout whatever they like but that was no fluke at Mount Pleasant.Be an interesting game with both teams performing well last week.

Forwards today were immense

If they are playing for Fev....they are Fev players. They have signed dual reg. They are both Fev and Leeds players. Had we been dual reg with Wakey still. We would be receiving less attention. Everyone hates dual reg lets face it. But if Fev told Leeds to sling their hooks. Then one of our rivals would surely take up the benefit. And only when all clubs refuse to participate then we will get a fairer system. Super league teams should be enforced to have a second grade team. The RFL however have no b&lls.

I like Oxy because I know he loves Fev deep down.

You seem to make Fev business your business regularly and criticise whenever you get chance on other boards as well as the Fax board.GFB.

This is tough cos 5 players came in 1st place. But I'II try and split them;
Briggs
Ormondroyd
Thackeray

With Craven and Davies influential.

Well i see the lad has plenty of knockers willing to Come on our forum. What exactly did the rest of Fev's forwards do that was fantastic last season?

Most of our forwards were young kids from the reserves that when it got tough they got Fev to the Shield final then thrashed London Broncos. This season will also be reliant on those kids that came through. As for Verlinden all I can say is that he is very fan friendly. I hope he makes it with you.

#3262035 M.O.M Rovers V Hunslet friendly

Posted by Phil Loxton on 25 January 2016 - 04:28 PM

Ive seen a lot of photos from yesterdays game and one thing that stands out is the size, or lack of it, of the Fev pack. Rather than dis-interested is there a chance they were simply out muscled?

Ormondroyd..Bostock and Griffin are all quite tiny especially viewed from an aeroplane at 30.000 feet. But having said that Hunslet were quite a handful. We are not quite in Fax's league yet but we are still trying.

Craven could have waltzed through four or five times had the ball been released.
1..Craven
2..Davies
3..Ormondroyd

Friendlies are rubbish anyway and mean nothing unless you are Fax and manage a draw at Widnes.

You should be beating teams like that with your potential Blues Ox. Fev got 52 and 44 against them in our last two meetings. With a bit better coaching though you should get there in the end lol.

As Lowton Sparrow says he has got people talking about Leigh. Two people at our own club typified arrogance as well and had people talking about Fev not long ago.It was cringeworthy to be associated with the bull at the time as it will be to most Leigh supporters. If they win all their games then to me they deserve super league. Just as long as everything is above board for once it won't matter to me who goes up and who comes down I will continue to support Fev.

How's Thackeray started? Top player

Thackery is class and was unlucky not to be allowed a try when the ball was stripped as it hit the try line. He missed a goal kick under the sticks but had Fev had a recognised goal kicker they would have deservedly won today

Today the points on the scoreboard don't mean a thing.Fev were the best side in a gutsy performance. Thackeray is going to be fans favourite. I too thought the ball had touched the try line before it was stripped. With players like Briggs Craven and Griffin to come into the side I think we should go well.

#3254100 Same old Fev

Posted by Phil Loxton on 04 January 2016 - 09:04 AM

Envy is always a powerful motivator ..

We all have to remember that all fans from all clubs despise this system. I'm afraid that the game is solely run by and for the benefit of Super league clubs and has been since 1996.Fortunately or unfortunately for Fev they are playing to the rules whether or not it turns out in their favour remains to be seen.
