  1. 5 games from each division is a sizeable chunk tbf I take the ‘notice period’ with a huge pinch of salt given they completely disregarded it just before Christmas when it cost me a fortune when Portsmouth v Bolton was moved to a Monday night, 10 days after their own publicised deadline. The late changes do seem to have calmed down a bit in Super League in recent years (to keep it on topic and hoping not to tempt fate)
  2. They will naturally have more than one at the same time. It’s more from a match-going point of view that these games will take place at any time other than Saturday 3pm.
  3. (less so because each EFL club is guaranteed a minimum of 20 games, so kick off times are going to be all over the place) I’d have thought the current Super League setup suited Sky down to the ground in terms of regular content. I know this was the plan all along, but it’ll be a bit weird if there are boxing re-runs or whatever on Arena and Action whilst there are live games ongoing on Plus.
  4. Been calling them a bunch of bricks for years
  5. Craven Streat is presumably doing wonders for HXR’s cash flow and certainly offers a different experience to literally every other ground since Toronto. Understand your frustration given your lot were the only ones who were allocated tickets on an oil rig, but it seems to work out for every other game. Yes you are correct in where you understand the Well to be. It’s only got about 7/8 rows of very narrow terracing with a dreadful rake and quite a significant space in front of it, even after the pitch was widened. Would think there is tonnes of scope to build an entirely new stand in that space without affecting the existing structure (other than potentially the pitch-facing lounges). I reckon the views from the main stand offers one of the best perspectives in RL for what it’s worth.
  6. Tbf if seems that they’re doing plenty for fans at the Rotterdam End. The one area that seems prime for improvement but never seems to be on the radar is The Well. Plenty of room to build a decent stand or terrace with a decent rake (most importantly) and without affecting the existing structure.
  7. ABK stein spotted in Barnsley on Friday night but no sign of it on draught
  8. Moylan can stay where he is, seems to be working quite well. I’ll happily give Hardaker a lift to a final destination of his choosing.
  9. BBC Sport website headlines the game as a “classic”. Not sure I’d go as far as that, but it was pretty enthralling stuff on the whole. Cas absolutely deserved something from the game for their comeback late on and a point apiece was more than fair, even if it did take 10 minutes of nonsense to get there. At 28-22 you could just see Leigh’s heads were down and overall lacking some leaders to be brutally honest, and the Cas equalising try felt inevitable in that sense. Took some nuts to land the kick, too, fair play.
  10. Tbf with some of the motorway diversions I’m pretty sure I’ve ended up virtually in Sheffield
  11. The current ground would hold 10,000 if it was an NRL ground! It could easily be developed in to a much larger capacity with the banking in place already, but as always finance would be likely to be the issue. Current one is surely in a much better location than where the new one is planned, but others will know better than me on that one.
  12. Doesn’t need to be anywhere near as Magnum PI as that. Each club is legally obliged to be able to provide the attendance and ticket sales, and the RFL already routinely receive this information every week via the ground safety officers.
  13. Cos Spurs have already surrendered most of there free weeks
  14. Tbh the theory of super clubs (and indeed franchises in its various forms) has that as a very real possibility Manchester, London, Paris, a merged Hull club and whatever else yet Wigan and Saints were unaffected and taking up two spots
