  1. Les Holliday to Halifax, knew he was too good for us but the way he left with our board sacking his dad was terrible. Chris O’Sullivan as well when the same board decided to give up on staying up and send our overseas signings home half way through the season.
  2. I thought Bradford were the best team I have seen this season, big and powerful in the forwards that allowed Lilly and in particular Gill to look dangerous as we were always on the back foot the second half of sets. You are right about Patton. He has been outstanding for us before Sunday but keeps costing us points with his indisclpine, I am not sure we would have beat Dewsbury and Halifax without him though, hes on a fair whack as well
  3. Glad to see he is improving, was a very personable guy, well liked by our fans
  4. How is Romeo going for you guys? Liked him at Swinton but got told he was on too much money
  5. Swinton had a great DR arrangement with Wigan which resulted in us getting Marshall and Harry Smith on season long loans plus other plaers when needed, the good thing about teams like Wigan and Saints is they only have top quality fringe and academy players
  6. I hope you ae right, I would probably be happy with one win and no injuries during that time, a life time of supporting Swinton has left me with low expectations though!
  7. Swinton got another win, got a hard run of games now though, Bradford H, Wakefield A, York H, Featherstone A, be interesting to see if we can get any points out of them
  8. As a Swinton fan I think that's a fair assessment, always a pleasure to welcome you guys to the ground. Don't think it helped the winger going off and the reorganisation you had to go through after that which seemed to upset your team. Thought Bibby worked hard when he was on, always seemed willing to take the ball in, you scored a couple of nice tries as well but to concede 50 against us when our attack has been pretty much one dimensional all year wasn't a good showing
  9. I did query on twitter last week where Whitehaven sent a tweet out celebrating National Womens Day, while also saying they had selected him for the squad against swinton in another tweet. I was told by A Whitehaven fan to keep my nose out as I didnt know the full facts, I said the court case pretty much presented the full facts. I didn't get a reply after that! Its bad on the RFL's side not to immediately ban him once he pleaded guilty as they would have done in Australia, and Whitehaven have just said they accept the verdict, bad all around as people have already mentioned.
  10. How did Lapori and Hammond play?
  11. Yes good luck, it’s terrible to see clubs in trouble, we have been there often enough ourselves
  12. Actually any company should predict in their cashflows that late payment of creditors will occur, no company has 100% of people paying on time
  13. Trafford is a seperate council, both Old Traffords come under them and not Salford
  14. I live in the City of Salford but am a Swinton fan, can kind of see both sides of the arguement. Salford already struggles to maintain an identity as a city from Manchester, most of my friends when asked, say they are from Manchester to people from outside the area. So I can see the councils viewpoint of they need a quite high profile team to promote the area and in thoery the team should bring a lot of benefits to the area. Unfortunately interest in RL seems to have dropped in the area as the beast that is Football is taking over everything these days. Folly, Eccles and langworthy try their best and are very good amatuer clubs. From a personal viewpoint though, council tax is going up 5% again, services are getting cut left, right and centre, so should the council be throwing money down a blackhole where they dont get any payback? Also as a Swinton fan we got nothing as they just wanted to build houses on the ground and as a town, we have lost our identity and all our facilities in the town as the council just pour their money into vanity areas like Salford Quays and the media hungry Mayor of Salford just wants a nice picture in the paper of himself so he looks like hes doing something
  15. Swinton still haven't released their replica shirts to buy and we haven't had an update of when they are available, bit of a shambles really
