  1. It has been a good partner to the game and is an iconic stadium. But it isn't so good that you couldn't countenance an alternative and, notwithstanding its more recent issues, the pitch is terrible for rugby league: short and dangerous. If we could secure a 60k+ stadium near the M62 for 5+ years we should do it. As has been said there isn't one around at the moment, so OT it is. Our Grand Final is a great event and we should be bold about getting the best facilities for it.
  2. No disrespect to Hull, but pleased for London and their fans. Tough assignment but they have worked hard all season despite their lack of quality. And their fans deserve an afternoon like that.
  3. I agree and am happy with the distinction. If all the players have got onside the clock can be stopped, don't see a need to keep the clock going until everyone has walked back to halfway.
  4. While I think this goes too far, there are a few strange scenarios where time wasting is allowed or even actively encouraged: - Drop outs - While it is good we have a stop clock here, the match clock should be stopped as soon as the attacking/receiving side are all onside and ready to receive the ball - Penalties - Nothing worse than everyone standing around for 60 seconds to run the time off the clock. No reason why the clock shouldn't be stopped as soon as the penalty is awarded and restarted when the ball is kicked.
  5. Bit of an exaggeration, it was actually 12 with Richard Horne on the wing.
  6. Leigh Centurions Head Coach Ian Millward also added: “I am delighted for Chris. As the fans will testify he has developed all season and is ready for super league. It would not surprise me if in due course he won national recognition. “Everybody here at Leigh Centurions wishes Chris well for the future. Quite rightly he is a firm favourite with the fans and never takes a backward step.” https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/chris-hill-signs-for-warrington
  7. Paul Sculthorpe leaving Warrington to Saints. A generational player: we needed the money at the time but that didn't make it any nicer seeing him go on to achieve his potential with a local rival.
