andyram
Looks like things are happening behind the other sticks with most of the grass been dug up and removed from what I could see from today's game, well done to the club.
Wilsden Ram
The grass has been removed to allow access for the equipment to lay a 1.9m wide path behind the new pitch side fencing matching the path in front of the Eastern Terracing.

Johnny Legend
The comittee and the board have really worked hard on the ground it's really coming together. It would be nice to have the western end terraced does anyone know if there are plans to do this in the near future?

Ramite
I wouldn't bet against it happening in the near future. Homer: How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive? Lupset Ram
So what's happening with the ground at the bottom end? Does anybody know anything?
andyram
It was said in a earlier post that a 1.9m path will/has been built to go along with the new metal fence that will be put in place behind the posts, don't know when this will be done though. Wilsden Ram
The path and fencing will be complete (Weather permitting) for the next home game on 8th March. The path is already complete from the South Stand to the posts. The Fencing was delivered last Thursday. This work is to make the four sides of the pitch consistent in appearance but will not allow public access to the Westernend of the Ground on match days. No further Ground Developments will take place until the new Car Park / Training Pitch / 5 - a - side pitches are in placeon completion of the Housing Development. There are other small projects which will continue for the rest of 2015 - such as seating on the area by the Water Tank(again this should be completed by the 8th March),clearing the areas around the masts, provisions for temporary car parkingfacilities at the west side of the stadium during the Housing Development and completion of the painting of the North Standironwork. Plus, of course, the continuation of the fantastic renovation works around the ground currently being undertakenby the Amber Ribbon Gang including the South Stand Bar. Lupset Ram
Can't help thinking that we've missed a good opportunity to extend the length of the pitch while doing work at that end. It's very tight between the fence and the in goal area, which can be dangerous and it would go some way to stopping other clubs from saying that our field is like a postage stamp. Lupset Ram
There are going to be seats near the water tank then? That seems like a strange place to put them. Exactly where near the tank then?

Netherton Ram
They can moan all they like about the size of the pitch. It works to our advantage. Wakefield Ram
Widening the pitch would effectively mean knocking down a stand and re-building it a few yards back. I like the pitch as it is, makes for intense games.
Tom Coates
I love our pitch. I love it when it annoys opposition coaches. Tom
Lupset Ram
Featherstone's chief executive was on Radio Leeds last night saying that they had lengthened their pitch to make it a 100 metre arena after the new stand was built. When Ossett were going to come on board a few years back I recall that we were going to do the same.
andyram
If the width of our pitch is within the rules and regulations of the rfl, then I can't understand why other club's coaches like to complain, what is the official length and width of the pitch at Tetley's Stadium anyway. Lupset Ram
Andy, I'm not talking about the width! This is not achievable with the grandstands being too close. I'm talking about the Length.
