NRL refs also bottle it.

Watching the GC v Wests game now, tackle very similar tackle to the Kevin Penny one.

Commentators expecting a sending off.

On report.

The game is setting itself up for a bad injury not stamping down on these tackles.

Yeah it did immediately bring up the memory of the one on Penny.

The player should've been sent off. He may have been wrong footed but it's still too dangerous to be lenient on.

I think send offs and sin bins have gone by the wayside in the NRL unless its almost murder on the field.

Refs are following guidelines I would think and they do not want to upset the media sponsors by handicapping a team by sending a player off.

They would rather the Judiciary sort it out after the game.

Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

Funny how throwing a punch is an automatic 10 in the bin, but hit someone high or knees in the face in the tackle, or even lifting and dumping a player in the tackle, and it's just a penalty or on report.

Vossy was going on about the Warriors 8-point try this morning and how it shouldn't have been given as it was an accidental knee in the face. How many high tackles aren't accidental?..

Is it basketball that bins players after a number of fouls? Maybe after 2 high tackles we see a yello irrespective of how bad it is.

Players can tackle from the ground level up to about 5 foot without being high. If they go above that, it is a choice, not an accident.

On report needs fixing, my understanding it was there when the ref wasn't too sure what had happened not absolutely crystal clear offences. Penalty or penalty and yellow should have been the only options, a penalty would have been too lenient but at least the ref would have made a bluddy decision

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

They've got to keep their 'toughest sport in the world' image up, get the impression they're very proud of that down there.

Just watching the dragons v storm game. Another example of poor refereeing when Benji Marshall has his legs taken out from under him just after putting up a kick. Not a nice tackle. On report as usual

Due to the points system, there's no ban. That was rated by the judiciary at 93 points - god knows how they arrived at 93. If he'd also got 7pts for picking his nose, he would have missed a week.
