Warrington Wolves rebrand

Underwhelming.  If this is what 'Warrington fans' come up with, then maybe the club should have looked a little further afield than Newton-le-Willows for a budget re-brand.  And why they've put 'Warrington Wolves' in one dreary font, and then put 'The Wire' in an American college font is anyone's guess.  It may work fine on t-shirts, but not on a historic club's crest.  I suppose it makes sense if you have low expectations. Yet another disappointing piece of rugby league graphic design.

It would seem that approximately 75% of fans disagree with your view. Each to his own though.

The best super league club logo - by a country mile - is that of the Huddersfield Giants. A scary-looking cartoon giant with scary-coloured eyes. Scary. And the word GIANTS is in GIANT font. Scary GIANTS.

In fact, the only logo that has come close to Huddersield's was that of the much-missed Hull Sharks. A scary-looking cartoon shark with scary teeth. (Much like some of the regulars in the Threepenny Stand).

Warrington have tried hard with this re-brand, but I'm afraid there's still a *long* way to go to really hit the heights. The wolf needs to be more cartoony. And scarier.

It's not a question of coming down to earth, Mr Duxbury. Some of us, Mr Duxbury, belong in the stars.

I'm surprised that figure's not higher - who knew that 25% of Warrington fans weren't prepared to put up with being average...

Now you're talking. Maybe the cartoon wolf could have a speech bubble, saying 'The Wire'!

They've missed a trick there.

Is that Hull Sharks logo genuine? It's like clip art from 1994.

Indeed. But remember, clip art from 1994 was all the rage back then. And WordArt. Wow, WordArt transformed my primary school work :D

For maximum scary effect, the cartoon wolf shouldn't merely say 'The Wire' - he should SNARL it.

Feel we're on the right lines with this concept.

Who wouldn't want to kiss a badge with a cartoon wolf snarling 'THE WIRE'??!!

Some people have no vision...

Yeah let's be grateful they didn't choose to employ one of the leaders in the field and instead went with an agency with no background in sports branding.

Well no one can say when they came up with their one style idea they went and wasted it!!
