Tyrone Shoelaces
Yes played barrow a few years back What's the ground capacity these days ? I would have thought there will be plenty of interest in this one.
Snoopy Loopy
What's the ground capacity these days ? I would have thought there will be plenty of interest in this one. Good question - the RFL checked it out a couple of years back and confirmed that it was suitable/up to standard to host pro games so no doubt the game can be held there (it looks like Wembley compared to Whitebank) - capacity wise surely it will hold the 1000 or so that the game will hopefully attract

Heywood Tiger
The comparison between Mayfield and Whitenank is fairly obvious, Mayfield has just had more time and investment http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rochdalecobrasarlfc/ http://www.hornetsrugbyleague.co.uk/Home/Page http://www.wiganwarriors.com/
The Collector
Does anyone know any details regarding our challenged cup tie with Mayfield? Will the game be at Mayfield or will they consider switching the game to Spotland. Also will it be played on the Saturday or the Sunday & at what time? It would be helpful to know match details ASAP both from a spectators point of view & to publicise the fixture in the rugby league and local press. It is an ideal situation to fly the rugby league flag in Rochdale. Let's no miss this golden opportunity!!

ipods4ever
The only way the game will be at Spotland is if the rfl force Mayfield to switch it Mayfield would be stupid to move if they will make a load of money behind the bar

Tyrone Shoelaces
At the Hornets AGM the view was that Mayfield were hoping to play the game at home on the Saturday. They have to pass the tests that the Rugby League impose on teams hosting these games. If they can't do this the game will probably be moved to Spotland on the Sunday. Given the time frame involved in making the switch if necessary, Mayfield need to pass the tests by Tuesday evening at the latest.

Tyrone Shoelaces
It all seems a bit amateurish. I heard from another very good source today that the kick off is at 2-30. Can anyone give a definitive account ?
