What is the relegation for next season for the leagues, I have looked through and with 3 from premier, 4 from 1st division and 3 from division 2 the number of teams will be as follows in each league next year:-

Prem - 12 teams

Div 1 - 12 teams

Div 2 - 12 teams

Div 3 - 11 teams + any new teams added

Should be 2 up 2 down, for me 3 up 3 down would be to many with 12 in each league.

I agree, especially in the premier division, where in previous years the team finishing in the last relegation place haven't been a million miles from the team getting the last play off spot.

There may be some change with that. I'm sure there will be a double relegation as Elland didn't turn up to a game when in a relegation spot. They'll probably find themselves in Div3 next year

Oulton are before the NCL Dicipline panel for playing an unregistered player should they be found guilty they will loose 2 points and could find themselves in the Div 1 relegation battle.

Its your league and competition  if you propose it and pass it that's what it will be. The miss conception is the NCL management change the rules which in fact they don't the clubs do

But for the record i agree 2 up 2 down and the second promotion spot done via playoff's

If a team gets a double drop then first two up next spot decided via playoff

Actually there's only three down from division 2 which theoretically means 12-12-13-11. Elland's double drop if it happens would leave us with four twelves unless any new teams join division 3

Very surprised at you, Wilber....

CR10.1 Promotion and relegation issues throughout the divisional structure will be determined annually by the League’s Management Committee at the pre-season meeting with the bottom two teams in the lowest division being obliged to seek re-election.

Any rule can be changed by the members. Only needs a proposal & seconder then a vote amongst the clubs

Anyone think they will double relegate Elland as mentioned above and add another member to make 12 in all 4 divisions?

I like the idea of 2 up 2 down ...champions go up automatically and 2-5 compete in playoffs

Correct any rule can be changed, this is the true nature of any constitution. The NCL are not above anyone's free will.  That's why our society is a democracy and not a dictatorship.

The NCL make recommendations which are presented to the members and if the members don't want it they can vote against it through there constitutional right to do so at the AGM.

NCL Constitution 11.5 Amendments or alterations to such proposals in writing by two Member Clubs must reach the Competition Administrator by 1st January after which all members will be advised by letter the date fixed for the AGM together with the proposals amendments and alterations. A two-thirds majority of Member Clubs present with voting rights is required to carry the foregoing

Don't get surprised Dessie I'm on the ball!!

They are to appear before the dicipline panel (Oulton) date not yet known but points deductions could have a big effect on clubs going down. I personally think it should be sorted before the last weekend of league fixtures but I've been told it won't be.

No, you're not.

The rule has been there since 1986 and you haven't voted to change it once despite your posturing to the ranks.

Yes agree that the Oulton question should have been sorted before the Div 1 weekend games , if a 2 point deduction is awarded , it would see Oulton down and Hunslet Warriors safe.....wrong for the clubs to be waiting on the outcome.....

This all seems a bit of a joke to be honest. I wouldn't want to see either side relegated truth be told, as both would be great derbies for us next season, but there's no way this should've been left hanging in the balance after the last game is played.

I wouldn't like to think this is true but had Oulton won at the weekend the decision to deduct 2 points would've been an easy one for the league, but knowing now that in doing so means they're relegated is surely going to weigh heavy on their decision or 'findings' should I say.

Could get really messy this which is a shame.

Totally agree Hunsletgreensandgold.

The next dicipline is 31st October (one of my lads is up !) So a while yet until the true position is known.

Every other club this season has lost 2 points for this offence so it does not look good for Oulton.
