Round 5 Match Thread - NRL 2017

Recommended Posts

Gutsy performance by Newcastle. Appalling one by Cronulla. I don't know if it was complacency or anything but the Sharks deserved to lose just for their lack of commitment alone.

The Knights deserved better than a 1-point loss. They have a few wins in them I reckon.

Up, up Cronulla; The boys in the black, white and blue; Up, up Cronulla; Name of the Sharks fits you; Sharks, Sharks forever; Go out and play without fear; Now's the time to see good football*; For the Sharks are here!

Canberra must be having an Old Boys Day. Blowing the Raider Horn this week is Jay Hoffman, father of Ryan and one of the first Raiders - he played in their very first game. Also in that team in Game One was Mick Tilse, father of Dane.

Morning all! Nice to see a dry match for a change.

Good stuff from the Raiders.

Looks like a decent crowd. Weather looks better.

NSW and Qld rain has been coming from the N-E. Canberra weather comes from the S-W
