phildog Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 See that John is leaving the club shortly. What a job this guy has done here; every bit as important as any of the coaches he has worked with, and has been just as responsible for some of the results we've had. His efforts with all the players who have been here during his time have seen fitness and concentration levels go through the roof. Whoever takes his job on has enormous shoes to fill. Hope the board recognises him, life membership is a minimum!!
Bulldog Days Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 John has been a key figure in our transformation from an average squad when he came on board to a squad that has been conditioned to go toe to toe with full time opponents in both SL and Championship games, on an equal level of fitness and strength. I do hope we continue to run with his methods and conditioning programmes, as they are crucial to our competitive edge. Good luck John, you have been a true Bulldog, and contributed much to our development as a Club within the past decade.
graham fisher Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Got to say,John Heaton is a massive loss. Didn't he once leave before to go to Castleford?
doggystyle Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Aye, we tried to get him back on dual reg ??? Massive loss for us but good luck in your new role John.

Yes he did Graham, and what a difference it made when he did, our usual fitness levels dipped massively, but when he came back it made it clear he was badly missed as he alone with his conditioning methods turned the Dogs around, to me a massive massive loss.
Batley Bob Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I agree steve , but on the plus side , he has got all the pre season fitness sorted , which is a big part of it

phildog Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 Thinking of John, remember when we actually had a club website he used to do a piece keeping us up to date with injuries and players' fitness regimes. There have been a few players in pre-season who have appeared then not been seen again, does anyone know the injury list? Bravo picked up a training injury, Smeaton had an op around shirt night, any other info on such as JC who hasn't been seen since Boxing Day, Brad Day....
RogerT Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Hello phildog, If you go to my player stats for 2018 that I publish yesterday all the players in red are injured, I can't say what the injuries are, but I'm sure the Paul Harrison or Matt Diskin would let you know. If I get the chance to go up to the club tomorrow I will ask. Cheers Roger.
