Summer Bash New Venue?

Recommended Posts

Personally Birkenhead doesn't seem the best choice. Having said that and on a positive if wanting a weekend its only:

a very very short ferry across to Liverpool,

not far from New Brighton (although I last went there 50 years ago and it was not the best of paces then, (a smaller version of Blackpool),

also Rhyl and that coast line not far

plus not far and could always do our Scouse favorite caravan holiday of yesteryear and have a caravan at Talacre which is a big beach and was great for kids, assuming it hasn't changed........ Yer not a scouser if you haven't had a caravan hoilday in Talacre

The vote on the venue is next week with Bradford, Doncaster, Newcastle and York all putting in bids.

Tranmere may or may not have gone directly to the RFL rather than the clubs themselves.

Both Carl Hall (Doncaster) and Ken Jones (Bradford) made strong cases on the Full Eighty Minutes last night to move away from Blackpool after the Summer Bash has lost money there.

York didn't bid. We might in 2020 though.
