This is good news but I'd be cautious of seeing it as any kind of growth. Reality is even 5 years ago the winter league was still thriving - now it's basically non-existent. This is more of a shift of clubs rather than new ones. Hopefully means more fixtures will get fulfilled and more clubs pushing to enter National Conference League system.

I gather the only change in the Cumberland League for 2020 is the return of Walney Central, who slot into Division One, which has seven teams, including the reserves of Kells and Wath Brow. Division Two has eight teams, including the reserves of Egremont, Ellenborough, Hensingham and Seaton.
