The Phantom Horseman
We have announced Samoan international Nu Brown as a new signing dependent on this season returning, (which clearly is far from certain at the moment). He's a full back/half back/hooker, maybe we'd play him at 9 given that's a position of need. He has played 37 NRL games and is 25yo. Whether this comes to fruition we'll have to see, but you can't say our management are letting the grass grow under their feet whilst we wait to see what's going to happen with this season. Cardypaul
So does this mean the club is confident that the season will continue?
Michael Bates
A great move, if we were playing. I can't figure it out though, have we increased our wage bill with nothing moving regarding playing this season?
The Phantom Horseman
2 hours ago, Cardypaul said: So does this mean the club is confident that the season will continue? Not necessarily, there's just not much point waiting around and then suddenly trying to look for players if the season does return. If as looks likely the likes of McLelland are required by Leeds for their busy schedule, we could do with someone who can play half back, and we were already short at hooker, so this guy makes sense. As there was with Cam King there's probably a bit of a gamble in terms of his fitness as he had another foot operation earlier this year and like King has struggled with injuries. But that's how Championship clubs have a chance with players like King and Brown.
Bryan S Taylor
Makes good sense. It shows that the club still has aspirations for this season.
Steve Slater
Good to see the club keeping their options open and planning ahead, ie if there's no promotion he won't be coming.
