Good news.

They are up for the challenge ahead and will play with pride and passion for the club and their shirts.

Trouble is without promotion The Championship will become a training exercise for youmg players. We help them improve and hopefully develop to S.L. standard and get sweet F.A. once they are out of contract. And if we do away with scrums thats me finished after 66years watching the game.

League Express this evening linking us with Swinton forward Frankie Halton. He's a 24-year-old back row who has been getting some good reviews, the Swinton FB page have been talking about this as though it's a done deal and all seem very sad to see him go but think he has a big future.

League Express also suggesting we have shown an interest in bringing Matty Wildie back to Fev.

As Cardypaul says what is the point of signing our making enquiries re players when we do not know about P & R, Also where are we getting the money from with no income coming in .??

We will have to wait until the 25th July when all will become as clear as mud.

Toronto will not want relegation as as things stand they cannot play at home.

You'd need to read the full League Express article as James Webster talks about this very subject and the difficulties involved at present.

That said, the two I mentioned above will be for next season, and they won't be getting paid any money from us right now. As tricky as things are at the moment contract talks aren't going to grind to a complete halt, clubs such as ours are well accustomed to making moves around this time of year (and earlier) even though they don't know what division they will be in.

Whatever the present circumstances it is good to prepare for the next season. With the proper organisation we will be ready to go and have a good set up for it.

According to the Rugby League Express is has yet to be  decided what funding will be available to clubs outside Super League. Rovers are taking a cautious approach but clearly planning for next season
