RLDB Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Ridiculous having to play away on Saturday after last nights away game at Haven, sums up the sport in this country. Am I correct in thinking we signed a few local amateurs on dual reg before the 4th August deadline? If so play them all on Saturday. Dead rubber of a game for Barrow, more important game’s coming up. 2
UpTheRaiders Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Don't want wood or stack anywhere near this game. Some massive games following this weekend and we're going to need those two fit 2

Raider83 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Not gonna look too much into this game, fantastic if we put up a good fight but with the squad as depleted as it it, just try n get back in one piece for the week after 1
mickmike wilson Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 I fully agree with the posts above basically saying Select the weakest squad that’s legal & take the hit as it’s a dead rubber. it’s the other games v those around us need HAVE TO WIN 1
Bring back GB Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 At the same time we need to do our best to avoid our points difference taking a battering as it is currently much better than teams around us. 3
oiseau Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Toulouse have injuries too and will play a weakened side. Temperature up to 40 degrees this week but cooling down to more normal conditions by kick-off. It’s a tight ground, nothing like the large expanses of Ernest Wallon at Toulouse. Barrow will find it easier to defend. Safe trip to all travelling to France. 2

Swindon did ok in the extreme heat but their lack of fitness ( not surprisingly) compared to the full-timers caught up with them. 1
oiseau Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Just been to the ground. Pitch looks in perfect nick, heavily watered due to the record high temperatures. Will be much cooler Saturday afternoon. 3
Town utd Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Barrow have to keep going, play each game as it comes, can't play all the amateur lads at once ,it's not fair get them injured and sickened. Play each game as a cup final and barrow will be ok 2
Raider91 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Noticed on the Dalton team sheets Seward is a Backrow/Loose Forward anyone seen him play if so any good?

oiseau Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Blimey, today the temperature has dropped to a pleasant 27degs from the 42 of the past few days. Forecast 25 ish for the match.

RLDB Posted August 27, 2023 Author Posted August 27, 2023 Think damage limitation was achieved yesterday, not too many points conceded. Keighley, Swinton and Haven all lost today. Next 2 games are massive for Barrow. 1
Ulverstonian Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Feeling more confident after todays results 1
oiseau Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 (edited) The boys played well, Ryan Johnston looked a class act. No bad performances, good luck for the remaining games. Edited August 28, 2023 by oiseau 5 1
