C4 Coverage - deal ended?

Recommended Posts

There might be a deal, there might not be. Nothing signed or announced yet. Plenty of time for the ancillary deals to be done. (Or write clickbait based on said message by Skelton who, as far as I can work out, isn't on the negotiating team.)

Seen reports that the deal has ended and won't be renewed, but nothing confirmed.  I was wondering if the BBC would interested in broadcasting one game a week.  Rugby league has had a long term relationship with them for the challenge cup and international games.  But have not seen any reports that they would be interested or would be willing to pay anything.

Do like the production of rugby league on the BBC compared to Channel 4 and Sky.  I like the commentary of Johnathan Davies reports from Robbie Paul.  Can't stand Barrie McDermott and Terry Connor.  Their knowledge of the game is horrendous. How many sun tans does he have a week?

Not a fan of Jonathan Davies, but I think Dave Woods is better than anybody commentating on Sky. As was Mark Wilson on C4.

Come on, some people like their punditry on the pitch disrupting the players warm up, rather than in a studio from a sensible distance.

I find the information that commentators like Johnathan Davies, Robbie Paul and Phil Clarke provide enjoyable and useful.  Former players of the game that played spine positions, have that knowledge.

Sometimes it's hard to tell when posters have got a general idea of opinions on TRL and are just trolling all of us.
