Considering that was the first time this group of players have played competitively as a "team" they were VERY impressive and look like a serious unit.

Great win for the Yeds BUT reading Dave's report he states the penalty count was 9 - 1 to Keighley. This was our problem last season - too many penalties against us. It has to be sorted before the big games come up.

Still full of optimism for 2024, and beyond.

I agree, the discipline needs sorting out. Other than that though defensively very good and ran in some lovely tries too.

I think 4 of them were for back chatting to the referee

Not sure those stats are correct either, we definitely gave more than 1 penalty away, I can remember at least 3.

34 penalties!!! Someone should either confiscate his pea or tell the coaches/players that there are some rules. That’s about a third of the match lost.

Vast majority were for incorrect play the ball

Batley 9 penalties against 

Only one forward pass blown for all game

Made some very pedantic calls
