I dated a Russian woman recently and I concur that their culture is as backwards as a particularly controversial episode of It Ain’t Half Hot Mum.

Depends on the country a bit but yes, in some countries it's kind of expected that you get flowers for female colleagues etc.

Not sure. I read Russian women are like Tamagotchis and that rung very true in my case.
