Barnestoneworth Sharks 0:42 Penrith Panthers at FT!

What a depressing turnout by a team who will remain top of the table at the end of the round. They looked as bad as they did against the Tigers. I think the Sharks high completion rates in most matches papers over how thin they can be when the pressure is on.

Worth saying that Penrith were absolutely on fire in the first half, when most of the scoring happened.

Half time in the third match of the day, and Souths lead Parra 22:12 but Mitchell's been binned for a hip-drop tackle.

Amazing game at suncorp. Two teams playing 80 mins of expansive rugby and what a treat instead of the one up rugby for 4 tackles and then passing.

OK defensive coaches will be tearing their hair out but the fans love it. Long may it continue.

Disaster round for me personally, but the beauty of this NRL season is to expect the unexpected. Last week the reserve grade Wahs defeated Penrith, This week the Dolphins who faded after dominating the first 20 m minutes against the Wahs reserve grade but the result of the round is Gold Coast at the Bronx - Titanic indeed.

Before the round started I suggested I might just toss a coin to come up with my tips.

Adding all our tips together we got just 46% correct.

In the end I scraped 4/8. That flip of the coin could well have matched that or improved on it!
