Colin started a thread about this which quickly turned into something else.

Here you can find out about this new fans group and how it works.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1117678053268527

They're on twitter and elsewhere.

Terry Mullaney is behind it, and IMO there is nobody with better credentials than him to be running this sort of initiative.

The idea is (it seems to me) to improve relations and communications between the board and the fans, and, let's face it, this can only be a good thing.

A few interesting snippets to come out of the above...

Season tickets are at last year's level, embarking on a youth season ticket drive

AGM meeting planned for Monday 26 March (that's what was said but that's not an actual date so presumably either Mon 24th or Wed 26th March).

Huge marquee to be erected in Fanzone with family-oriented DJ, bull riding, stalls, food, bars etc, plus pre-game interviews (1.15-1.30) with squad members/coaching staff, sounds like they are having a good go at improving the pre-game experience. Starts with Goole pre-season game.

Fordy likes what he as seen from new Aussies Herring & Webb so far, interestingly says Webb has looked more at home at loose than middle so far, says he's a fiery customer who Fev fans will enjoy watching.

Squad number announcement night on Wed January 8th at 7.00. Interviews with new players etc.

Asked about matchday programme, MV said his aspiration was to try and look at doing an online programme.

Fordy says he's very happy with the squad, says there's no comparison to where we were this time last year compared with where we are now. Lads gelling well and forming friendships off-field, Ford said that the new recreational facilities at the ground are helping with that.

Asked about floodlights, Paddy said they had spent £6k on bulbs (which MV says has made a massive difference), further improvements not a priority at moment but will need attention to meet minimum standards if we ever gain access to SL.

Confirmed that we will again have a DR arrangement with Hull KR.

Paddy confirmed that we have a couple of young triallists in addition to our 26 that we know about, but didn't name them.

The netting that has annoyed some fans in the Ward Hygiene Stand won't be there this season.

Paddy was asked about timescale for new development at POR end but couldn't really give a strong guide as depends on things like when planning permission is granted.

Great to see the new developments and general vibe around the club. Thanks for the update as well, saves those such as me who missed the livestream having to watch it all back.

Couple of questions, in case I've missed an answer. You mentioned floodlight improvement needed if we need them if in SL for minimum standards. Are they not part of the IMG scoring to potentially get us there?

Also, from a dull perspective to most but at the forefront as a qualified accountant, was anything said about resolving the statutory requirement for submission of accounts that are currently overdue? I appreciate most will view this as a dull question, but from a director perspective it could mean lead to a criminal conviction, which I wouldn't have thought Paddy and the other directors would want.

Interesting talk about the players competing for a squad number which in reality means Fordy picks them and  he says some will be disappointed so why not try something a little bit different on the 8th put players names in one bucket and squad numbers in another  let paddy draw a name out and the player comes up to thunderous applause and draws out his own number:kolobok_yahoo:

This topic is addressed at around 18:25 in the video above, at one point Paddy actually checks with Martin whether they count towards IMG points (the answer is definitely no btw), they count towards the minimum standards for teams wanting to enter SL but that's all, so the cost/reward ratio doesn't merit upgrading them until if and when we are actually poised to enter SL.

No nothing was said but then that wasn't one of the questions they were asked.

Watching Paddy since he's been here with all the positivity of things that have been done and things that are going to be done I'm sure the accounts would  be high on his to do list

They're now over 3 weeks late, hardly suggesting it's a priority for anyone at the Club. Hopefully it's 'just' an administrative failure and not a problem with the actual accounts.

Maybe it takes time for the accounts to appear on the website.

I would have thought the way the alleged non payment of wages et al was quickly resolved   by Paddy  when he took over the accounts would get the same attention

It's a matter of days for them to be published.

Nope, electronic filings usually appear in no more than 24hrs and paper in <7 days. Not filing leads to Gazette notices and ultimately company strike off.

Whilst ultimately responsible for the company and having to sign off the accounts, I doubt he has actually filing them with CH on his to do list.

I agree but ultimately he is in charge of the people who do and would have thought getting them to do their job is on his to do list

As a company Finance Director, completion and submission of annual accounts to CH is pretty much front and centre of the role for me. They're actually submitted by our auditors once mutually signed however, so I'd agree it's unlikely to be on PHs personal to do list. I'd hope he was aware that they're overdue however...

Perhaps since he took over there are quite a few alterations to be made.

That's as maybe. It's still a requirement to submit on time.

Also worth noting they'd cover the period up to 28th November 2023, well before he came on board.
