It is obvious that the WCC will be in this country in 2011. If Wigan or Warrington are involved (i.e. clubs who have not played in it in recent seasons) it should have a buzz about it.

People have been talking about giving the Championship an edge. I propose that the GF winners could be given the warm-up game for the WCC. Quins have had it for the last couple of years but it would be a great incentive to Championship Clubs.

Featherstone, Barrow or Halifax v St George/Roosters etc. would have a real buzz about it and would generate a lot of income for the GF winning team. I would imagine it would draw 4-5,000 in its own right. It would be a good hit out for the NRL side who had just arrived.

The GF winners should also win the right to go into the CC draw at the SL club stage in 2011.

P&R and franchises are a different issue - they are here for the immediate future. I think this is the sort of thing the RFL should be looking at to spice up the Championship.

this could be a great idea, either the league leaders or the northern rail cup winners,

there should be no reason why the aussies cant play 2 warm up games, i say this because the rfl wont take the game from harlequins

Wouldn't an NRL team like St George slaughter Fev by 60-70 points+ ? :-/

Be reet.

Reet? In which way; 'reet'? Would it be less than 50 points in it?

"It'll be alright."

I think the crowd potential would overule any irrelevant thumping.

After all, the NRL champs would be in the presence of l'ang, who I think was on the same ship as Captain Cook.

Great idea!! I think it would work well! Result wouldnt matter, it would serve a purpose for the aussies and a great day for the Champ club with probably a decent crowd.

We would deffo get between 6000 / 7000

Really?

You got 6000+ for Wigan in the cup, but there were a couple of thousand Wigan fans there. On a weeknight (most likely time) you'd get next to no travelling fans. 4000 tops IMHO.

Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done.

All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies.

Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.

Not far off 7000 v wigan nec, a sell out.
