Dolphins lose Katoa to a dislocated wrist….could the injury bug derail their play off run as it did last season? -

maybe they should try going nearly 3 months without a home game that some championship clubs face….and no SL to advance them funds. -
RA and Queensland Government announced a 6 year deal for an annual ANZAC day Bledisloe Cup test rotating between Suncorp Stadium and NZ with games in Brisbane in 2027, 2029 and 2031. Size of the deal not announced but 2029 will be an afternoon kick off. Interesting that this falls in the middle of the Super Rugby season suggesting there will need to be a bye week.

I’ll have a pint of whatever they have been drinking.

I hadn’t heard or seen that but then I don’t do ‘social media’. Only the top levels behind the goals were closed. Usually all the top levels and much of the second level are closed for dolphins games.

No one mentioned Herbies outstanding game for Dolphins v Warriors. I suppose we are so used to his great performances that they no longer warrant a mention.

Fiji already in Jersey Flegg cup comp.
-
Particularly impressive given there were no trains running between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Dolphins v Warriors just broke 40,000 for Saturday afternoon game. Largest saturday afternoon crowd since broncos v warriors last season.

Dolphins v Warriors lived up to (and surpassed) the game of the round tag. It had everything a great game of footy needs, well played, well officiated and a great crowd of over 40,000 ( more than Friday nights Broncos v Roosters game). Would be great to see these two teams do it all again in the Grand Final but Panthers might have something to say about that. Or will these two teams be hit by the injury jinx again in the run in as they both were last season? -

Was it earlier this season? I thought that happened last season as a result of dolphins v bunnies switching home games because of the cyclone. So it wasnt originally scheduled for two in a day at Suncorp. Also they werent in back to back TV slots but separated by another game. Two in a day at suncorp allows the footy loving public to attend both games. Scheduling broncos and titans home games in back to back TV slots doesn't. -
Id argue Cartwright succeeded at Titans taking a new club to multiple play offs and reaching preliminary final. certainly outstrips anything that has happened at Robina since. Similarly Seibold took the bunnies to a grand final which they lost by two points against the all conquering Panthers. The two points came from a successful conversion taken by Cleary that was a least a yard further in from the touchline than where the try was scored. Also Adam Reynolds missed the late touchline conversion attempt that would have taken the game into golden point. Small margins.

Haas junior extended his contract at Titans ending speculation of a family reunion at the bunnies. -

scheduling Titans and Broncos home games both on Friday ensures folks in SE Queensland cant go to both games. With 4 days available you would think NRL could avoid this.
