It was a crazy decision to play Carney, he clearly wasn't ready. The game was won in the halves for me. Pryce and Sneyd were very good for Hull and the Dragons just didn't have any. I enjoyed the game, despite our coach's grumbles about the slow ruck. There were some very good tries with a few absolute flukes thrown in, as well as the customary brain explosions. Hull managing to concede a try when they were in possession as the half-time hooter sounded was a classic. I thought the eleven point margin flattered the Dragons, they were second best by a long way and the game was won well before the end. I was really impressed by Zeb Taia though, he looks a tremendous player.
A word on Steve Michaels' try, if anybody wants to serve an arrest warrant on him, he'll take some catching, great footwork and acceleration.
Got to agree - we gifted 2 maybe 3 tries and why we didn't just kick the ball dead before half time was just sheer bloody lunacy!
I've been itching to see Michaels do the business and my word I hope that was a taster for what's to come.
Pryce was my MOM and thought that was his best game for us by a country mile.
His defending was epic!
Hopefully that might be the game that gets us back on track? Cut the daft mistakes out and we have something to build on.
I have to agree with Radford (sharp intake of breath) Les Cats laid on and slowed down the ruck at every opportunity and were allowed to.
Saying that maybe we need to get smart and do it ourselves 😉
On the whole a satisfying performance that needs to improve by some way if we are to get on a winning run.
