  1. If ain’t broke and all that, Harry. Didn’t see McNamara being a big player but he played the supporting role superbly.
  2. Relatively speaking I think that’s Leigh’s most polished performance in 30 years. Not even exaggerating. Flawless down the middle. Who knew the Moylan-McNamara-Lam triad would work so well? Makes up for watching it in a (frankly outstanding) tandoori tap house in Peterborough while Wigan are losing on the other telly
  3. Now this is the benefit of more than one game being shown at a time
  4. Any roof will do, it doesn’t have to be a new one!
  5. I suppose there’s a reasonable argument to have the replays in a split screen similar to the NRL, but I tend to find that even more distracting and doesn’t really satisfy getting a good look at the replay, nor watch the ongoing play. Let’s be honest, you can count on one hand how many instances in the entire existence of Sky Sports that anything has been missed because of showing a replay. All you need to do is cast your mind back to OurLeague during Covid and it’s praise be to Rupert Murdoch.
  6. I went to the game in Paris. Tickets only went on sale about a fortnight prior if memory serves me right. A miracle they get so many on a weekend with several SL games, possibly even a full programme. It probably dates it quite nicely if I point out it was the night that Wigan lost away to Celtic Crusaders.
  7. Maybe I should have said post-Scorpions south Wales (which I assume may be a focus for him given his location), but as @nadera78 mentions above we had a generation come through with Crusaders but that conveyor belt didn’t continue. In almost related news, I noticed Regan Grace signed for Bath RU today.
  8. A really interesting career path in that he was playing international RU only three years after playing amateur RL. Hopefully my impression is off the mark but it feels like they’re starting virtually from scratch (again)
  9. Flicked between all three and timed the Leeds-Huddersfield game just in time for the comeback. Surely having 300k people watching three games is no worse than 300k people watching one game? There’s no finer sight than going on the Sky EPG and seeing Super League dominating the schedules in a manner that even football can rarely manage. Love having the chance to flick between different games as they’re ongoing. Also having 6 different kick off slots over a weekend would be a nightmare for match-going fans and fixture schedulers alike.
  10. Plenty of people still connect with Lancashire, including myself even though some folk would have you believe I’ve never lived there having been born (well after) 1974. I do feel it would be a bit more of a step back though and the hard work has to go in with the other federations to make the internationals work.
  11. Flawless intel Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction!
  12. Like I posted previously, I had more 10 years of day to day experience of it from 2004-2015 and the Saints/Latics crossover absolutely wasn’t an accident. I know, I was boozing with him after the game on Saturday
  13. And the ones from St Helens find it much easier to support a Wigan team when that team sings about hating Wigan rugby (genuinely). I saw both sides of it on a daily basis for a decade and still didn’t get my head around it.
